Who is eligible for the new parent payment?
Eligible riders may be able to claim a one-off payment after the birth, stillbirth or adoption of a child.
To be eligible, you must have entered into an agreement with Deliveroo to provide delivery services, and your first delivery must have been completed at least 41 weeks before the expected date of childbirth, or at least 41 weeks before the granting of an Adoption Order or equivalent document.
The amount you may be eligible for depends on how many deliveries you completed in the 6 months before the date of childbirth, stillbirth or adoption.
You may be eligible for:
- £250 if you completed more than 175 deliveries as the birthing parent of the child, or more than 250 deliveries if you are the non-birthing parent
- £500 if you completed more than 350 deliveries as the birthing parent of the child, or more than 500 deliveries if you are the non-birthing parent
- £1,000 if you completed more than 700 deliveries as the birthing parent of the child, or more than 1,000 deliveries if you are the non-birthing parent
Only one new parent claim can be paid to an insured person in any 12-month period.
New parent cover does not apply to substitute riders.
