Got multiple orders close together? You can deliver them in the order that works for you
When you have multiple deliveries in the same building, or customers are very close together, you may be able to choose which order to deliver first.
This gives you more flexibility during delivery and helps you keep moving when customers are nearby. Instead of following one fixed order every time, you can decide which order to deliver based on what is happening when you arrive.
What this means for you
Flexible deliveries are designed to make nearby drop-offs easy to manage. Here’s how this can help you:
- You can spend less time waiting: if one customer is not ready, not answering, or taking longer to reach you, you can move to another nearby customer and come back later.
- You can message customers sooner: you can contact a customer earlier in the delivery, meaning you can share updates faster, arrange where to meet, and keep the delivery moving.
- You can complete nearby deliveries more smoothly: when customers are in the same apartment block, office building, or on the same street, you can choose to deliver the order that makes the most sense based on who is ready first
- You have more control when you arrive: you can decide what works best for you in the moment, instead of waiting when another delivery is ready to complete.
How it works
If customers are close to each other, you can:
- Choose who to deliver to first
- Switch between customers if needed
- Contact any customer to arrange delivery
For example, if you have two deliveries in the same apartment block and one customer is already downstairs, you can deliver their order first, even though they might be the second order in your stack.
If one customer isn’t responding, you can deliver to another nearby customer and come back once they reply.
This can help you avoid unnecessary waiting and finish your deliveries faster.

What customers will see
Because you can switch between nearby deliveries, customers might see you in the app a little earlier than before, which can help them be ready when you arrive. For example, they may come downstairs earlier or be ready to meet you at the entrance, which can make things faster for you.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Finish any checks (like ID) before moving to the next customer
- Orders with Priority Delivery still need to be delivered first
- You may still need to scan items to make sure each order is correct
